We work with customers to convert stockpots and thermos pots into brewing vessels to their specification. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements
Double skin thermos pots require two holes for an item. A larger hole in outer skin and then correct sized hole in inner skin to fit and seal item. 'Bottom Drain Conversions' and 'Sunken Thermometer Fitting' also available for double skin Thermos Pots
All the vessel build products (fittings, elements, thermometers, sight glasses etc.) are listed and available.
If buying pots and doing your own conversions, check out our 'Tools' shop category too
We have been converting pots into homebrew vessels since we first started in 2013 and the range of taps and fittings has grown to meet requirements for HLTs, mash tuns and boil kettles custom built to customer requirements
Many of our stainless steel fittings come from a UK stainless steel fittings supplier who are experts in their field and have very high quality standards
If you don't find what you are looking for, get in touch and we can probably get it for you
With a focus on quality reliable pumps, a good offering of pumps used in homebrewing applications whether looking for 240 AC or DC pumps
All the pumps are magnetic drive so have high reliability and no need for a seal between the wet side pump head and dry side pump motor. This is a common point of failure of shaft drive pumps which is not an issue for the more reliable magnetic drive pumps
High quality hose and typical fittings for pump connection also included in this category
Fermentation vessels and fermentation related products. Stainless Steel BrewDevil conical fermenter, Fermzilla pressure rated conical unitank and accessories and spares
Easy way to balance your beer lines this is the way to do it. Perfect for people who want to serve a large range of beverages with differing carbonation levels
If you want an easy way to balance your beer lines this is the way to do it. Please be aware that even in the fully open position these FC disconnects do have some inherent flow resistance so you should use either shorter line or larger ID line that you would when compared with traditional ball lock disconnects. One of the benefits of FC disconnects is you don't need to rely on the small ID or line length to apply flow resistance so it would not make sense to use long lines or small ID lines as well as this is the job of the FC device.
As you would know setting up your beer lines isn't just about getting beer from keg to tap. You also must make sure your system has the right flow resistance.
If you have a beer of a specific carbonation level you will be required to dispence that beer (if using CO2 to dispence) at a very specific pressure. So you do not have the ability to increase or decrease pressure to change the flow speed out of the tap. For this reason you need to either adjust the beer line length, internal diameter or use flow control devices like this to ensure your beer comes out the tap at the right speed. Ideally between 250-400ml/10 seconds (based on the standard 10mm ID spout)
Flow control devices are good but they inherently can create a small amount of turbulence and therefore can cause foaming. In the past flow control taps have been the only common option. Flow control taps like these ones are popular however they have the issue that due to the fact they are placed right at the end of the beer line they have no head pressure. As a result any turbulence created can cause foaming and carbonation to come out of solution.
Flow control ball lock disconnects like these on the other hand have the ability to restrict the flow before the beer enters the beer line so the head pressure created by the beer line keeps the carbonation in solution. Even in the instance that high turbulence is created the beer will be far more resistant to foaming issues. For this reason flow control ball lock disconnects like these have significantly better performance allowing you the flexibility to adjust line resistance easily but without the introduction of turbulance that creates foaming.
Cleaning Instructions (see product image)
Dissassembly is not normally required for cleaning. Cleaning can be done simply by washing Powerful Brewing Wash through the unit. If however you really want to take it apart for cleaning it's quite simple.
A - First remove part A with a spanner.
B - Then unscrew part B and the unit will come apart.
